Yes, actually. I'm not sure how you couldn't have expected a landslide.

I agree. I'm going to go out right here and say Reggie Bush is probably one of the best running backs to ever come out of college. Just look at his numbers, and then while your looking at them, look at the teams he's had to face this year. He's amazing and I'm very happy that he took it cause he defitnetly deserved it.

what do you mean look at the teams hes faced this year? ok the best team they played was notre dame and theyre even giving up 120 yds per game on the ground.
THE REST OF THEIR OPPONENTS AND THEIR YDS PER GAME GIVEN UP ON THE GROUND:
hawaii - 187.6
arkansas- 132.5
oregon - 134.1
arizona state - 181.7
arizona - 183.7
notre dame - 119.4
washington - 143.4
washington state - 153.5
stanford - 156. 0
california - 121.5
fresno state - 144.8
UCLA - 238.6
ok, so where are all these great defenses that USC played? only two of their opponents averaged less than 130 yards against them on the ground. yeah reggie bush is the best running back in the game, but he really has yet to be tested by a quality defense (i.e. texas, who has more depth at d-line than anyone else in college football) and i think it'll be interesting to see what happens when he finally plays a worthy opponent.

Wow i really thought Brady Quinn had a lock on the Heisman. Seriously how did he even get 7 first place votes?

So, even though it was pretty much Young vs. Bush since about halfway through the season, you still thought Brady Quinn had a shot at the Heisman?

Right, and Texas has faced such quality opponents right? He sure did well against overrated Big XII garbage.

Colorado, dude.
Who else was in the running for it?

Bush, Young, and Leinart were the only ones who were invited to New York.

Haha Quinn is left out

Ok thats who I thought. I knew bush would take it but I was hoping Young would cause I'm a texas fan :( Oh welll were still gonna take the championship.

i didn't say that texas had a hard schedule but we did play one of the best defenses in, i think, in the last few years in ohio state. that linebacking core is insane. (theyve only given up 74.5 yds on the ground per game this year, and vince still ran for 76 and threw for 270 with a 62% completion percentage. what happened to passing being his weak point?)
i do think that bush deserved the heisman, but notice who got the maxwell and who (as of now) has the sense to stay for his senior year.

who has the sense to stay his senior year?
Bush would undoubtedly be the #1 pick in the draft in April...how is he stupid?
And seeing as how Bush has the Heisman and the Walter Camp (best offensive player) I don't see how comparing awards is really gonna do much.

and on another note, vince is the highest rated quarterback in the nation with a passer rating of 168.6. 63.9% completions, 2.6:1 td:int ratio, and still ran for 850 yards and 9 tds while passing for 26 tds with 2769 yards. thats heisman-worthy right there.
naw Chad Henne should of gotten Hesiman..yea...Chad Henne.

It doesn't matter if he was the highest rated QB. Reggie Bush is arguably the best college player EVER. Vince Young had a great year, sure. But he definitely isn't in a league of his own. Did you watch Reggie Bush play at all? I sure did.
I also watched Vince Young run all over some terrible defenses in the Big 12, and beat an Ohio State team when they weren't that great. They came on strong at the end of the year because they finally developed a good leader in Troy Smith. Justin Zwick and Troy Smith were still splitting time when OSU played Texas. OSU is a completely different team now. That's a fact.
If you want good stats, how about these offensive stats from Reggie Bush:
218 touches (rushing and receiving)
2041 total yards
1658 rushing yards/15 TDs
383 receiving yards/2 TDs
9.36 yards per touch
No turnovers!
..and I'm not even including his special teams! Bush would've been over 2000 rushing yards if he didn't split time with Lendale White. He might've hit 2200-2300 yards, or more.

That last stat is EXTREMELY impressive.
Just makes me that much more excited that he'll be a Texan next year

What's even more impressive about that stat is that he's never turned the ball over in college. Ever.

...to see that fall to .4 yeards per touch with the offensive line the Texans have.

Okay, so you think your smart. Take Reggie Bush out of all those games and then see what their average is. I'll do one easy example for ya.
Fresno State: 144.8 per game (Counting Reggie)
Fresno State: We're gonna say Reggie had 100 yards in that game instead of 294. Their average is now bumped down to 113.6. That is a 31.2 drop.
