Sid got me into this band ages ago but I've listening to them a lot lately. They're not big or clever. They just make brilliant punk rock. If you like bands like Latterman or the Stockyard Stoics you'll love them. They're also reminiscent of Rancid at their best: good basslines, catchy riffs and passionate vocals. They've got two albums: Rogue's March and Jagged Thoughts. I prefer Rogue's March but Jagged Thoughts is very good too and a lot more chilled out. Everyone should check them out.
Songs to check out:
Rogue's March:
Insurrection Ave
Got A Backbeat
Bloody Murder
Whiskey, Woman and Blackguarding (Ain't No Cure For A Broken Heart)
Jagged Thoughts:
New Religion Every Day
Shrapnel
Two Crooks
Maria

They're very good.
Greatest band that was ever on Lookout!
American Steel get blasted a lot for Jagged Thoughts, and while the album is different than their earlier stuff, it's still awesome. Probably my favorite.
It's not like Searching For for a Former Clarity, lolz.
EDIT: By the way, they have more than two albums.

I could only find info on two albums. What are their others?
American Steel self titled.
They are also on random lookout comps but I'm not counting those.

My friend is a lot into this band. I have Rogue's March and it's a quite a good album but it lacks that something special for me. I think it's a good and solid album but that's all.

I think they are good. The singer has very passionate vocals, so it is always refreshing to plug them in once in a while. Rogue's march is a solid album.
