Emperor - Emperial Live Ceremony Concert Video [Archive]

A few days ago, I downloaded an incredible video off of a p2p program featuring live performances of Emperor during the IX Equilibrium tour. Other than songs off of IX, they also performed a number of classics, including "I am the Black Wizards," and just about all of the "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk" album. :lol: I was unsure what to expect when I got this album, as I could easily see the music that Emperor makes not working in a live setting, but this was definitely not true...these guys are freaking awesome live! Ihsahn is an awesome frontman...the energy, passion, and strength embodied in Emperor's music are just pouring out of him, and most of the classic lineup is in tow (Samoth and Trym are, at least, which is what is important). Ihsahn's clean/dramatic vocals are actually alot clearer and easier to hear on this video than on record ( black metal production :upset: ), and everyone is tight as hell.

edit: I also forgot to mention the rather humorous video for "Loss and Curse of Reverance" that comes at the end. :lol: Amazing song, but the video makes me chuckle.

It's definitely a must-see for all Emperor fans, and for this reason, I am willing to upload this crazy sucker in all of it's 700 meg glory onto yousendit. Based upon MX policies, however, I'll have to send it out in mail-list form, so if you are interested, put your e-mail address down!

I would love you forever for this. I had the album a while ago and it was incredible. The music was much more intense but still kept all of the symphonic elements just as strong. I could only image what the video of this must look like.

I had seen the video for Black Wizards and I have the audio of this DVD which is awesome. I plan to buy the DVD anyways but until I get the money, it would be nice to see it first.

Fury: I HIGHLY recommend you check out "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk." Classic album, amazing stuff. Later Emperor is very interesting as well...their last album, "Prometheus," is quite interesting, as is IX Equilibrium. Both are alot more technical and generally over the top and crazy. :cool:

I have Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk, Prometheus, their split with Thorns and their best-of.

Pure violence, love it, although Anthems gets damn repetitive a few minutes into it. Prometheus is class all the way, though, lovely dynamics and vocal pwnage.

I've heard a few live tracks (off the best-of) which own, but tis a shame I have dial-up. Arg.

Sorry, guys....the damn thing keeps failing. I don't know what its problem is.....one second its sitting there yousendisizing with all its fury, next thing it says "cannot find server." If it keeps this up, I may have to start just doing AIM/MSN transfers. Maybe like a chain....send the file to two or three people, who then send it to two or three more....*shrug* worth considering if yousendit continues to prove itself completely worthless.

You could send it too a few people over AIM, then have them attempt to YSI. That way you've got a better chance of it eventually getting uploaded.

Ok, the damn thing has failed like 20 times now. ****it...

Here's what we're going to do: I'm going to AIM or MSN xfer this to as many people as I can, and those will then transfer to the rest and so on. Hopefully somebody will get YSI to work, otherwise I'm not sure what we'll be able to do for those who can't do AIM/MSN transfers. Very sorry about this, guys....being that YSI said they could do files up to 1 GB, I figured that they should be able to handle a 700 meg file, but apparently not, or at least not from my computer.
