First things first - I did use the search function first.

Since it's pretty much officially winter now, I've decided to get back into snowboarding. Me and a few friends are going to go up to a local mountain once Christmas break starts. I haven't gone in about four years, so it won't be a pretty sight, but it's worth a try.

Anyone else snowboard?

Pretty much the same situation for me. I went today, first time in a few years. It was pretty awkward, but I spent the day with my girlfriend who was just starting out. I'll be back hopefully over Xmas break if our snow doesn't melt.

Well, winter = this for me, but I enjoy snowboarding when i occasionally go, but I'd rather be here.

Dude you know i live in california and the beach isn't that great. I'd much rather live someplace that snowed.

On subject, I'm going up on the 29th and 30th.

You are a strange one, people would give so much to live in California. I have withdrawls when I leave the state, no joke.

yes, its pricey, but very rad,

its run on the horstman glacier on top of blackcomb (beside whistler) mountain for most of the summer, its about 2500 for the week, you get very small ratio instructors all day, then all free meals, 4 star acomodations, free paintball, wakeboarding and all other activiteis afterwards, and fairly free reign of the villiage. it amazing if you can shell out the cash. i was going to go, but i took the money and boarded the largest resort in the world in the french alps for a week plus spent 2 days in paris for the same price.

I snowboard over at Jiminy Peak in MASS. It's my second year on the mountain, but I've been riding since I was like 5-6 years old. Snowboarding is so much fun. I ride a K2 Mini Zeppelin 142cm with Ride LS Bindings (don't buy em unless you're poor and dont mind tightening the baseplate after 6 hours of straight riding) and Ride Orion Boots.

I snowboard, but it hasn't snowed here (Michigan) in forever, and the snow they make is horrible, so I've only been once this year. I've lived in Michigan all my life and I never remember having a winter so warm as this one.

Hmm old thread but saves making a new one.

Its coming up winter down here in a coupla months so me, mates and my gf will be down there a lot snowboarding. I just picked up a Salomon Discord M3 for 100 bucks so pretty stoked, will be giving it a thrashing on the rails and jumps. They just put a new park in so should be fun.
