Nominate stuff. My records indicate that these wonderful albums came out in 2005:

Belle Epoque - A la Derive
Funeral Diner - The Underdark
Ampere - All Our Tomorrows End Today
Comadre - Songs About the Man

Nominate whatever you like and I'll add it to the above list and then cbmartinez will most likely compile the voting threads. EPs and splits are definitely allowed as long as they have a substantial length. No like 4 songs 5 minute emo violence BS. Make sure they're legit releases.

Wait, what the hell is emo violence anyway?

It's the way of saying screamo, which sounds like grind, that idiots use. pageninteynine would be an example.

Wait, what the hell is emo violence anyway?

It's the same thing as Screamo.

It was originally a sarcastic term as a play-off of Power Violence, but the name has more or less stuck and is pretty commonly used.

No. That's like including Underoath because they have a hardcore influence.

No Ash, it's like including Trophy Scars because they straddle a fine line between post-hardcore and emo but we call them, post-hardcore because they have a bit more of that genre than emo at times. They could easily fit the genre emo and if I recall the first couple months I was on this site they were on the official reccomendation list for emo.

Wow dude. No. They were on the list 'cause Dfelon has a fetish for them. I talked to him about it and he agrees that they're not emo, they just have some heavily emo influenced moments.

I never said it was difficult to differentiate between emo and post-hardcore I can tell a big difference between bands such as Hot Water Music and Indian Summer. It is just that Trophy Scars could fall into emo even though they are post-hardcore.

Diversify it? Well if you want diversity, I nominate Hawthorne Heights - The Silence in Black and White. I mean if a band that doesn't fit the genre of the one at hand but gets in the poll, why not toss another one in?

And yes, as Neeshee said, arguing about it is stupid, but I'm not one of the brightest people around.

(And I forsee you saying "But but but, they're cloooooose!" Yeah I got close to winning first in a race once but came in second. But since I'm close I should be on the winning podium along with the person who actually did qualify even though I don't belong.)
