hey guys im 5'7, 140 pounds, and 14 years old. im getting a new mystic (surfmystic.com) shortboard for $250. right now i have a 6'8 gun looking piece of crap that i learned on. im anything special, but i can do all the basic stuff. i can basicaly only ride a wave...cutback..and tahts about it . but i dont like my 6'8 at all, and i wanted a shortbaord. i was thinking:

shortboard, 6'0 or 5'11 x 18 x 2. rounded square tail. deckpad, leash, etc.

or something along those lines...
any ideas or suggestions?? because i don't want to crap up.
btw, i'll be surfing waves from knee at the smallest and head/overhead at the biggest.

I bet musicianforums.com isn't the best place to look for advice. Maybe shortboarderforums.com or something is, but not here.

I live in Canada in the plains. That means when the snow melts they waves are incredible. You've come to the right place.
