I posted this thread with the wrong title in "advanced" and someone complained, but people still posted their stuff. It was ment to be about particular artists' sound of their drums.

IE: My favorite snare would be- Derek Bloom's snare from From First to Last
Bass-Aaron Stern's sounds great in their album "Stories and Alibis" by Matchbook Romance
And for toms- Randy Bradbury's from Pennywise
You don't have to separate toms from floor toms but my floor toms would be- Aaron Gillespie's from UnderOATH

The drums don't have to be from your favorite bands and cymbals are basicaly universal (anyone can get that sound by buying them).

I'd have alot of different stuff.

Basically take John Bonhams steel Ludwig kit, Elvin Jone's Yamah kit, Chad Sexton's OCDP kit and Neil Pearts most recent DW kit - I'd have those 4 and use different ones depending upon the music.

It looks good, but it's missing something. Can you take a nice **** in it? That would be a near perfect replica.

I'd have...

Snare - Infected Mushroom (its probably sampled, but the snare on 'Cities of the future' is so sharp and snappy)
Bass drum - Brain (primus)
Toms - Lars Ulrich (S&M concert, they sounds great)

Abe Cunningham's snare on Around the Fur is pretty top notch for a cranked and mixed snare.

I didn't know the drummer ever changed. But if Randy Bradbury(the one I got off their site) is the new drummer than I deffinately like the old drummer from the albums straight ahead, and a full circle.

probably Ringo's bass and snare with Mitch Mitchell's toms. Or maybe Charlie Watts' toms. Actually Charlie Watt's whole kit sounds awesome, especially on Beast of Burden.
