Alright

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7368107295

to add to my PP 5 piece, I'm also waiting on a 9" tom.

I don't mind if they're different sizes/ brands, it'll add character to the kit, plus i will probably end u refinishing it one day.

Also I'm a big fan of Tim Alexander!

Just the head, i actually have no idea what brand it is, I had a look around on the inside and the outside when i was cleaning it up a bit and it had no badges/markings.

Next week i'll be going to Allans or Billy Hydes to buy some new hoops, some new lugs and a new batter head, the reso seems to have some life left in it

you want at least 16 lugs on a 20" IMO

*Update*

Okay i went to Drum Power and Billy Hydes on a little excursion with my dad today.

I bought two new metal hoops from Hydes for 46 and from Drum Power i picked up a new set of lugs, all screws and claws and a Tama HP10 kick pedal (better than the other tama and the gibraltar i tried out).

It turns out the bass drum is a lot older than i had thought. From the lugs (which i have to replace) i was told that its from the 50's-60's.

I have to replace them because they no longer produce anything like it, so any tips on drilling and placing lugs...?

I don't know about this, it might be related but it could be way off. This is a lug from my Beverley bass drum, which was made also in the 1960's I think. Do the lugs bear any similarities? I'm not sure whether maybe all old kick drums had lugs like this, if so then i guess there could be no relation at all.

The head in that auction looks like it has stick marks on it. Is this so or am I seeing things?

Ah so more than likely, threadstarters kick could be anything. Ah well was worth a try.
