Now after my eventful day of not going to hospital [nasty bowel infection, don't ask..] and getting a promotion [woot!] I came home to a quote for a Sonor Force 3005 in Autumn Fade!! Woot!! Woot!!
They quoted $1955AU for:
22x17.5" Bass Drum
9x10" Rack Tom
10x12" Rack Tom
14x14" Floor Tom [with legs]
16x16" Floor Tom [with legs]
5.5x14" Maple Snare Drum
My questions to D&P:
Can you get 3005 virgin bass drums as I use an ICON?
Is the tom mounting system good?
Is that a good quote for me?

Sonors mounting system is great. That seems like a good quote but I know nothing of the prices in aussi land. Something tells me that you can't get virgin bass drums but it might be possible.

I'm almost sure you can't get virgin 3005 bass drums. Don't worry though, the kick sounds awesome anyway. You will be VERY happy with those drums. I'd say pick them up; those prices are amazing, especially for australian currency.

You can't get virgin bass drums, the mounting system is one of the best out there and that price is very expensive!

Those blue sparkles are great. I was told here that only about 100 were made and only smaller shops have them.
My local store has one. It's great. I considered buying it (before I found my Vistalites) because, honestly, they sound alsmost as nice as Gretsch Renowns, and they are a good 400 less.
You cannot buy bass drums for 3005 kits without the bass drum mount - they all come fitted.
Aaron1, I have posted a 3005 on here recently in the Gear and Media section which in in Sunrise High Gloss. Definitely check out this colour if you can because its just as nice as Autumn High Gloss but not as widely sold!
I have the exact setup you listed for a similar price here in the store - pm me and I can give you details.

Yea, I was one of the first ones with the Autumn Fade and now everyone has that color. Id like to have either the red or blue sparkle.
They are great kits, your gonna love it.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Hey Damo, i did see your post, i asked you a few questions in it! I prefer natural wood tones for my shells (better than entry level wine-red HaHA!), so the yellow are pretty bright for me. Ken, the good thing about Australia is no one has any kit, so someone actually having the same colour is rare.. lol.
