first of all i define gothic as an architectural term, meaning sharp corners. how the hell did "gothic" become a sub-culture.

anyways at school today i was making this one girl shut up about how cheerleading is a sport. then she just suddenly yelled oh no you didnt in a black manner (mind you shes white). she said a goth just didnt tell me to shut up. out of the blue this one kid was like hes not goth, hes punk. i was like what the hell? these kids have no clue what the hell theyre talking about. i asked the kid why does he consider me punk. he said well you wear black a lot and youre not a prep or a jock. then the girl was like well see he wears a lot of black see then hes a goth. most of my shirts just so happen to be black cause theyre band shirts and i think its just coincidence that i find funny things on mostly black shirts.

**** whats up with that, im sure this happend to someone else. im not saying im a punk, cause i know im not. dicuss incidents like this, and talk about how did the word "gothic" came to be something to call people that supposedly wear a lot of black.

Wow. I hope that it's just stupid people putting goths with punks instead of goths being a punk subgenre. Either way "...you wear black a lot and youre not a prep or a jock" this guy's an idiot in thinking there three types of people.

(I am watching Memoirs Of An Invisible Man and I just realized that invisible people should not be able to see, because their retinas are invisible and so the light cannot reflect to them.)

im not saying its a bad thing, i actually applaud the idea pushing the government you have now away, and making a community that doesn't depend on money.

how did the word "gothic" came to be something to call people that supposedly wear a lot of black.
Firstly, Goth is a modern subculture that first became popular during the early 1980s within the gothic rock scene, a sub-genre of post punk. It is associated with characteristically "gothic" tastes in music and clothing which invariably involve lots of black. As such it has become a common insult for anyone wearing black and/or not listeing to pop music. How did you not know that?

Secondly, you assumed we give a **** about some retarded trivial incident that happened to you and is of no consequence to anyone.

its not really about that, its about how people today are just blind of what is happening. everyone strives to be "cool", in result they assume stuff that they don't know anything about and apply it and make it ****.

i really thought someone like you will say exactly about something giving a rat's ***, and im not looking for someone who will say that happened to him/her and they hate it. im just saying how the word "goth" is being used by kids that dont have a clue about it.

Thank you by the way for giving that definition of "goth".

That's been happening since humans wanted to fit in. Look at religion.
