What would you guys recommend for a new snare? Im looking for a very bright sound with a awesome crack and response. What would you guys recommend?

A brass snare will be your best bet. I own one and it truly is a workhorse snare!

If you say very bright then a steel might be better.. I have a hammered steel so its not really bright but bright enough. Not sure if brass would be brighter or not.
