Do you have Al's "Di Meola Plays Piazzolla"?

Also check out "Bajo Cero"--featuring Pablo Ziegler, Quique Sinesi
& Walter Castro.

Man, I love the Grande Passion. By far my favourite DiMeola album. In any case, there's another World Sinfonia (the group he was in for Grande Passion) album which I think is just called "World Sinfonia."

I saw that album somewhere... is it really good?

Because I considered buying it, but I was hesitant due to lack of knowledge of di Meola's work, let's not even mention his better work.

I'm not really a huge fan of Di Meola Plays Piazzolla. Some of the songs are fantastic, but others...I guess I can't dig tango all that much.

Other things from Al Di...Definitely get the other two World Sinfonia albums (Heart Of The Immigrant and the self titled one). They aren't orchestral, but I think the lack of the orchestra really imbues the tunes with a more intimate quality.

Try to find John McLaughlin's Mediterranean Concerto. If you can't, just IM me.

I love the World Sinfonia albums.

The Grande Passion is one... the best one in my opinion is
"Heart Of the Immigrants"

thats cd is among my favorite cd's I own.

you will def like Heart Of the Immigrants.

I own
-World Sinfonia
-Grande Passion
-Heart of the Immigrants.

also some you might like

"Rite of Strings" Al Di Meola - Jean Luc Ponty - Stanly Clarke
its not the same flavor of World Sinfonia but its cool.

If you really like nuevo tango (nt), it's a good album.

If you're kind of lukewarm on nt, you should probably pass on it.

Have you done a search for the album on Google or Yahoo? I would imagine there are a few sites on the web, where you can sample at least some of the songs on the album.

Different strokes for different folks.

Fans of Piazzolla and nuevo tango should really like it.
