So my current printer is nearing the end of its lifespan and it needs some replacing. But we're (as in me and my dad) know nothing about printers and which are good or not. So I need some recommendations for any printers that are decent quality and pretty good priced. Nothing real fancy really needed either.

Any help would be appreciated.

For advice on different printers, this link is quite useful -

I don't actualy own a printer myself so I can't give you advice on a particular model, however in the past I've found Epson printers to work great if you read through some of the stuff in that link it'll help you decide on what printer you'll be looking for (with regards to colour quality, printer speed etc).

Firstly are you from the uk or us?

I have an epson, and I have for a long while. The reason, Because all other printers I have come accross are not that good.
I work in IT and the main make of printer we use is epson.

Heres a couple for you too look at

Epson R320 (http://www.epson.co.uk/products/inkjet_printers/Stylus_Photo_R320.htm)
Epson R340 (http://www.epson.co.uk/products/inkjet_printers/Stylus_Photo_R340.htm)
Epson Picturemate 100 (http://www.epson.co.uk/products/inkjet_printers/PictureMate100.htm)

Alternatively you could always run down to your local PC store and have a look what offers they have on.
Another thing to bear in mind when looking for a new printer.
Ask about cost to replace the cartridges, just so you know how much its going to cost to refil.

Epson's were what my dad was looking at. We'll probably look a little more on Friday, since we are going shopping anyway, my town is crap for computer supplies.
