I'm in a 60's/70's rock and surf rock band right now so I use my ride alot. I got my current ride two used ago used, I have no idea what it is other than it's a 22" zildjian ride. I think it might be just an avedis ride. Anyways when I get going on it I lose alot of stick definition and it just turns into a wash of sound and it really bugs me. What ride do you guys think is apporpriate for my style of music and won't build up so much so I don't lose stick definition as the song goes on? Price, brand, size, nothing is an issue, I just need to find a new ride really soon.

P.S. I was considering the A custom ping ride, would this work alright?

i'd go something older in style. 22 medium paiste traditional in brilliant finish or 21" zildjian sweet ride. p.s. cymbal finder

22" A Ping ride, 24" A Medium ride, 21" A Rock ride. Sweet ride has bad buildup too.

haha mine does that too, higher end cymbals will fix that...
