Hey guys, My band just finished recording a new song and i would like to hear what you guys think about it. I know the recording isn't that great but you get the idea. I guess that we would be considered metalcore. This is our first song wiht me as the vocalist, i used to play bass for the band. Thanks.

I dug it. Guitar riffs were cool and they sounded awesome. Couldn't make out the bass as well. Drumming was pretty good, but the double-bass sounded more like ping-pong paddles than bass drums (IMO). I'm assuming that you drummer was using triggers? If so, he might consider using a different bass drum sample or maybe mic'ing the drums and mixing that in, but once again, just my opinion.

The vocals sounded pretty damn good to me. Of course, this kind of music and singing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but you've got a great growl for metalcore. Keep it up. :thumb:

Thanks man, i forgot to mention that we didn't have bass in that recording yet. The drummer isn't using triggers, but the double bass just sounds weird cause we couldn't get it to sound good in the recording. Thanks for the compliment on the singing. I've only been doing it for a short while now and i'm still improving.

Anyone else?

umm the singing to me proved nothing, its soooo plain , u keep a constant low, which sounds to generic and boring as well as inaudible and i listen to black dahlia murder which his low could be considered gross but its more audible and he throws in highs you do not vary.
