Latency

So im playing Counter Strike and Im looking at the scores and I realise my Latency is really high. I mean these other guys have about 30-60 and I have about 200+ some times. Is this bad and if so how do I turn it down?

I usually improve my latency by switching servers. Latency has a lot to do with the distance the server is from your house.

Also, if you're running your game through a router, you may want to demilitarize your IP. I found that this drastically improves all aspect of my connection even if my firewall is completely open to CS.
