Which snare

Please help.
I am looking for a versatile snare with a nice cracking sound with short sustain. Unfortunately I can not try them out before I buy.

I love my supraphonic but for short sustain which is what you want the acrolite is the one imo.

Well I got my mam to get me the acrolite for christmas. YAY. The surpaphonics were too scrace and expensive though
