Song: Forgiveness

This is a drum tab to my band's first song, Forgiveness. We haven't recorded anything yet, but as soon as we do I'll post you up. Keep in mind this is only a basic pattern chart, I tend to vary it every now and then.

It's played at a reasonably fast tempo, somewhere between 160 and 190, I'm not too sure though.

Notice how on the verse, I play the downbeats with my hats and snare? well, that tends to throw my guitar off and he's always trying to play on beat with those instead of playing with the quarter pulse. Anyone else ever had that kinda problem before?

if it throws the guitarist off, change the beat...as a drummer, you dont always have to have crazy **** that just goes everywhere ya know? you've gotta be able to keep everyone together, and to me a good drummer can go crazy on drums while still keeping everyone in the band together, not just the ability to have an amazing drum solo or just the ability to keep a beat and have the band stay in time...however, a simple beat that will keep the band together overpowers a crazy beat that will throw people off

once you get used to each other's styles you can go for that kind of thing, but dont try to go crazy until everybody can jam and maybe even improvise together....once you can improvise together your band can basically do anything you guys want as long as the improvisation makes sense...try changing the beat that throws off your guitarist and let me know if it helps any.
