Well I need a 16ohm cab. I found this great 2x12 cab from avatarspeakers.com, but its 8 ohm. It says it has 2 vintage 30s(16ohm) are wired paralle to make an 8ohm cab. Could I have a tec open it up and wire it up for 16 ohm? since they are 16 ohm speakers.... I just don't know.
For now I will just be using this for my combo to get a little bit more volume but i will eventually get a Carvin MTS head for the cab.
Please help:wave:
No, you can't.
In parrallell they would be 8 Ohms, in series they would be 32 Ohms.

$hit!!
I need a 2x12 cab 16ohm no more than 300$us.
Have any suggestions???
If you could find a pair of speakers that were 8 ohms each it'd work...
I'm sure there is a 2x12 Marshall cab with a total resisance of 16r...hmmm.

Mono = one input for both speakers
Stereo = two inputs, one for each speaker

So......... That doesn't help me very much. Do you mean you have to have 2 inputs on your amp or 2 input on the cab?? do you have to have 2 cables??? explain yourself more.

You would need a stereo amplifier with two 16ohm output channels to use that cabinet . . . or a mono amplifier with one 8ohm output.
This is ok though. All you need is a 2x12 cabinet that uses two 8ohm speakers. Most 4ohm cabinets use two 8ohm speakers in parallel. So get one of these, and rewire the speakers from parallel to series.
