nice, it will work well for a club (there is a volume knob for a reason). tho i would play it before they get it for you. also check out some other brands, ampeg IMO = bleh

I don't think the amp is too much, assuming you can transport it easily, and since your parents are that generous, theyll probably take care of that for you too.

Well, it's like a small step down from what I have, and I wish I had looked around more before I bought it, because it isn't that great. Try looking around the Talkbass classified section, or try to find stuff used.

when i first told my parents I wanted them to pay for half of my new bass (all the money i had was enough for half) my mom said "why, is yours broken?" GAH!

I know that feeling, cept when she asked I said YES... Still no new bass :upset: Well... they bought me a really beat up 70's Fender ripoff, but it's a fixer-upper... I need a bass that I can play... reliably...

Heh. My parents bought me both my amp, cab, and stingray. Of course after that I haven't really gotten much for my birthdays or christmas. And we definitely aren't rich either. My dad is a guitarist, so I guess he understands how it is.

I have to beg to use my own money on stuff. And I still can't.

if you dislike being the spoiled kid, send your stuff to the less fortunate

Dude, your parents don't need to be paying for your stuff. If you are too lazy to work for it then you don't deserve it.

My parents wouldn't even let me spend my own money on stuff until just recently, and so I went out and wasted all my money.

You will thank them in the long run, when you save a tone of wasted money and just buy the exact stuff you want.

Now, for the TS- I hate, with a passion, all the budget Ampeg's, and in fact all the modern 'pegs I've tried (except my Classic, but thats why I bought it)

For the money, you can get much better from another brand, ie Ashdown, or if you wanna spend a bit more, the Kustom GrooveBass1200.

Both are very warm for SS heads and IMO sound amazing for their price...
