I voted for Kobaia (the last dude). I thought he applied the technique more musically than Ignignok. The groove just wasn't there for me in Ignignok's.

Edit: By the way, incase you were thinking how turd the drum loop was, I used a drum loop from cyberfretbass.com (cheers mikethecoug).

I voted sheep...I loved the main riff-type-thing you did. Kobaia's was too sloppy imo.

Edi: On an offhand note, sheep, is that a pic of you with Wooten on you soundclick?

Nah, it's me and Jon Reshard. He plays very much like Wooten and is definately worth checking out.

Sheephead's piece was by far superior. It had groove, spice, and flavor. There was obviously much more work put into the song as a whole, and the playing is pretty superb.

IMO, It's sheephead hands down.

Well in my opinion Sheephead's piece is more of a slap comp entry rather than a DT entry. It seems to involve more Slap style than actual Double Thumbing.

The other two entries: Both needs the tecnique more tightened. Kaesis' piece was definatley more fluent with double thumbing than Ig's but both definatley need more fluency and tightening/grasp on the tehcnique as a whole.

I get the feeling you were pushing yourselves to the point of clear mistakes. So my only suggestion would be more practice and take it slower.

Considering I don't deem Sheephead's entry to be worthy of a Double Thumb comp because of it's lack of the tehcnique, I'll go with K's.

hmmm..... hard decision between sheephead and the last guy... I'm going to go with sheephead's because i thought the groove was there a bit more, and it was catchier, so my vote goes to sheephead, but good work everybody :thumb: :thumb:

sheephead for sure, the other two(no offense) pulled classical thump in a different key basically with the whole open hamer thumb thing, no creativity IMO where as sheeps was pretty groovey and a good use of the technique without over doing it although a bit repetitive i found.

If it was just a general composition competition then i would have voted for Ignignok as i thought his was the nicest to listen to. However as this is a DT comp i voted for Sheephead as i thought he used the technique the best and incorporated it into his piece the best :thumb:

Yah! Sheepie's infamous humility statement.

While he secretly leaps around for joy saying HAHAA I'M THE BEST MOTHER ****IN' DT PLAYER ON MX LAWL!
