Need some help

Hey, I'm learning YYZ by Rush. I'm doing a pretty good job so far I can play almost everything except for the second bass fill. I just can't seem to get it down. I tried playing it at the correct speed but I couldn't get it. I also tried slowing it down and just building up the speed but I still couldn't get it. So I was wondering could someone who knows the whole song sorta help me out here. Thanks.

You just gotta practice. I remember learning it. It was fun, and challenging at the time. Just keep at it- there's no magic advice I can give you...

Thanks for replying at least. I know everything except that second bass fill. Everything else is easy for my its just that second bass fill thats hard.

And also, can anybody direct me to a recording of themselves playing it or someone other than Rush playing it?

I made up my own fill for that because I had like four days to re-learn it for this show my band was playing (hadn't played it in almost a year). That was always the hardest part for me too...don't know why, it's just weird.

i can play it, if of course you count playing it at like half speed at the hard parts...

Make a new one , I mean this is probably his own kinda fill, make your own kinda fill that came from your self

yeah, no sense in learning his fills unless your drummer learns all of the fills as well. I do two rush songs and had to improvise the fills because my drummer is not there with me.

Man, that's weird eh. The other two bass fills and the rest of the song are pretty easy but that second one just seems so hard.

And I'm not learning it to jam it out with a band I'm just learning for the hell of it.
