I got Victor Wooten's transcription book, and all of the pieces are quite hard. I've been working on Norwegian Wood, but it's a mission. I was wondering what song i should start with? ie the easiest one, out of:
Amazing Grace
Blu-Bop
Cherokee
Classical Thump
Heaven is Where the Heart Is
More Love
Norwegian Wood
Sex in a Pan
A Show of Hands
Sinister Minister
Sometimes I Laugh
Stomping Grounds
The Vision
You Can't Hold No Groove

Good luck on learning them, its all good fun stuff.
I would recommend trying each and seeing which seems ok to play, as I did. I found I liked "The Vision", "Sinister Minister", and some of "A Show of Hands" & "You Can't Hold No Groove"
I learnt snappits of them then built upon it getting a feel for each song, giving variety and improving skills over a range of areas.
As I first sed, try and see what you like.
Enjoy!

sinister minister
Sinister Minister isn't that hard, with the exception of the solo.

I went for Norweigan Wood first, and yes, it's a mission. I'm still not really there. I have no idea which you'd call the easiest though, I guess it depends on how strong your different techniques are... I went for Norweigan Wood because my tapping's better than my DTing, so I'd be able to cope with more of that than some of the other songs.

^Both.
Go for Sometimes I Laugh. It's a different arrangement to the album version, but it's simple and beautiful. More Love's alot of fun, as are U Can't Hold No Groove, Sex in a Pan, Stomping Grounds... and the rest.
Has anyone tried Blu-Bop? It's the only one I haven't really looked at yet.

I'd say Sinister Minister or Amazing Grace, also.
