hey guys my dad just is on a plane to london right now and I asked him to get me some strings or at least find out if it's cheaper there than it is here in isreal...
but the thing is i can't find any musician's friend-esque sites for the UK
so could u guys maybe tell me off the top of your heads how much would a 5-string roundwound medium gauge pack of strings cost
(looking for a bright sound, around d'addario, rotosound, and ghs)
thanks:wave:
In the shops around my area, I live in London, a 5 string set cost me around £26.

Well it's generally about £20 for a pack, if you're lucky you could find them for £15. This is for a standard 4 string set of most brands :thumb:

I've seen Elixirs going for anywhere between £30-£40 for a set of four. They're not cheap.

ah...nevermind about the elixirs then...
i'm almost 100% sure there's an online store for these things like musician's friend and music123.......but the search function's no good it should be in the resources section
www.stringbusters.co.uk
the ultimate string site.

http://www.soundslive.co.uk and http://www.gak.co.uk are the first places I tend to look.

wow soundslive is so much cheaper than gak....
on guitarampkeyboard a pack of rotosound swing bass 5 string costs 22 pounds...
and on soundslive 13.99....weird
so i guess at any random music store they would cost somewhere between those two or a little over?
thats a nice price either way, real cheap
