This time in 2004, i started the greatest game ever threads, which the end results you can see in the links section.

Well another year of gamerage has happened, and now it's time for the 2005 nominations.

Each person can make 3....yes 3 nominations for the greatest game known to man...make your voice heard

I'll close nominations at some point in the first week of january

Noo it's pretty much the same system as last time :thumb:....it might change, but the numbers were very close last time i seem to remember, so it could turn out differently

I can't think of a third. No games since have been at the same level as those 2. If I have to put down a third it would probably be GTA3 or an MGS game. I think I'll go with GTA3 as I can't pick from the MGS series.

No question. Zelda Orcarina of Time. Great game. Also Tales of Symphonia would be up there for me. It is one of the best RPG's I have ever played but it is unknown by alot of poeple.

I would vote OOC, but that wins all the time, so I vote for...

1. Guild Wars
2. Fable: Lost Chapters
3. DOW: Winter Assault (not just the expansion, I mean the game with the expansion)

Those are in order of preference if it makes any difference.

Really, but I got it this year the week it came out. That was in late March.

The thread says "greatest game ever" which I think means just what it says, greatest game ever. The 2005 bit means this years round of nominations, not games of 2005. Unless we are making it 2005 only?

Yes, it has been contained to 2005.

The Japanese and American releases of Metal Gear Solid 3 were last year.

It's a bit saddening that Europe and Australia get their games a year after us.

It's a bit saddening that Europe and Australia get their games a year after us. Well a year is a bit of an exaggeration, they were released a few weeks later but fell into the next calendar year.

But yes it is sad that pretty much every game gets delayed for some amount of time. The only games we seem to to get first is Cricket and Rugby games, and I doubt Americans or Japanese even know or care about Cricket or Rugby.

But thankfully the Playstation 3 should bring about an end to that being region free.

I heard they were thinking of making it region free. That'd be great because we could get games cheaper from America and Asia, or they might just bring prices down. Hm.
