I did a quick search for this but of course I can't search the Pit and it's subforums, and I haven't heard this mentioned here so I'll give this a try.

This is an online e-book resource which apparently has over 17,000 e-books available for download. They're just books in which the copyright has expired and are thus public domain (I'm not sure about the UK but apparently it is condoned in the US), so you can get plenty of Wells, Austen, Conrad etc. etc. but you won't find the latest Harry Potter book here or anything.

Anyway it seems like a pretty valuable resource either for school or just for fun, I'm not sure if this already popular and well-known but this is the first time I've heard of it.

Awesome thanks :)

Though, imo I think e-books are too much of a hassle to read. I like traditional paper.

Edit: How do you work this thing

I don't know, computers hurt my eyes, and paper just soothes that pain. I'll give it a try though.

Rrrrrrr

A friend showed me this sometime last year, it is indeed awesome.

Yeah, I can't stand audio books or e-books.

It's all about tradition, but not to the point of audio books

*wonders if anyone will get it*
