^That's what I'm after.

All I could find info on was "Bitspider," but the site has been replaced by some crappy advertising page. I can't seem to find it on soulseek either.

delete a bit off the end of a file

Say if I'm downloading stuff and my computer crashes, at the spot where the download got to is often glitched, but the program doesnt know any better due to the crash. This can wreck the whole file, or put glitches in audio. Deleting a few kB off the end should get rid of this problem area of the file.

Ah, I understand now, I thought you meant delete a bit as in 8 bits that make a byte.

That sounds interesting, I'll try and find this BitSpider program for you.

EDIT:- Ok, I can't find it anywhere. :-/

There will no doubt be someone else on here who will know an alternative program for you to use.

Cheers anyway, I looked for a while too.

I just realised "truncate" is the word I need. Should be easier now, nevermind peoples.
