So the holidays are approching and I'm gonna make this girl a mix CD with acoustic/soft songs. The problem is I need some songs to put on it. So if you wouldn't mind please recommend me some acoustic/soft songs to put on the mix for this girl. I already have Hey Ther Delilah by The Plain White T's. Thanks.:thumb: Happy Holidays.

Some good ones have been named.

Against Me! - Cavalier Eternal
Against Me! - Unsubstainted rumours
Against Me! - Sink, Florida, Sink
Against Me! - Baby, I'm an anarchist !

All amazing acoustic songs, only Baby im an anarchist isn't Acoustic, but still really nice and soft.

Bolded is a must.

Anything by
The Lyndsay Diaries (http://www.purevolume.com/thelyndsaydiaries)
Superstitions of the Sky (http://www.purevolume.com/superstitionsofthesky)

And definately something by Westbound Departure (http://www.purevolume.com/westbounddeparture)

Maybe something by The Rocket Summer (http://www.purevolume.com/therocketsummer)

Thursday's "Standing On The Edge of Summer" is also an awesome song.

Something by JamisonParker (http://www.purevolume.com/JamisonParker) would also be good.

Brand New - Play Crack The Sky / Me Vs Maradonna vs Elvis / The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot / Soco Amaretto Lime (Their best acoustic work)

Jimmy Eat World - 23 / Hear You Me / My Sundown / Night Drive / When I Want / Kill / The World You Love / Polaris (None are acoustic, but they are all very soft)

Taking Back Sunday - New American Classic / Your Own Disaster
The Starting Line - Best Of Me (Acoustic version)

Alkaline Trio - Enjoy Your Day / Sorry About That / Blue In The Face

Straylight Run - Existentialism On Prom Night (Not acoustic, but soft, and an amazing song) / Now My Heart Is Full (Piano and vocals, Morrissey cover, great song)

EDIT :

Also, anything off The New Amsterdam's EP Killed or Cured.

Hey There Delilah by The Plain White T's.
Good call.

I'll try to come up with a few songs in a little bit. A lot of good songs have already been mentioned.

Haha, I read the first part of the first post, and I immediately thought of Hey There Delilah. Good choice. :thumb:

Hear Your Me by JEW is a must. Parellel or Together? by Ted Leo and the Pharmacists might be another good choice.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that one is acoustic.
Such a beautiful song.

And also I'd like to say Something Corporate - Konstantine. It may have pretty cheesy lyrics, but I love that song.

hey, you're not cory!

"The Mixed Tape" by Jack's Mannequin...yes, I know its not acoustic or even really that slow, but seriously, listen to the lyrics and say that its not the perfect song for this...

I like Chumpradio's list.
Also-
The Ataris- The Saddest Song, The Hero Dies in this One
Blink 182- Lost Without You, All of This
Sum 41- Some Say, Pieces

Also, I agree with Chris' suggestions of Konstantine (SoCo) and Polaris (JEW). Both outstanding songs. Although, neither are really suitable for a tape being made for a lady friend.

That acoustic song at the end of TOYPAJ (Blink 182):

"What Went Wrong?"

I love that song if I'm in an acoustic mood... Its very negative in what its about but still nice to listen to :)

I was just thinking,
Coheed And Cambria - Always And Never

I've been listening to that song all day, and it's really fun to play on guitar, if you are a guitarist.

EDIT : And you can't forget Wake Up by Coheed as well.
