i apologise if there is a thread already on this, but the search tool didnt give any results. so does anyone own this game yet? i bought it on launch day and have been playing it constantly since. a lot of multiplayer has also been played lately as well with friends and it rules. everything is tweaked to perfection (apart from the inclusion of those b'astard cheating blue shells) and the game plays like a dream and looks stunning. i dont have the wifi usb gadget yet but its on the christmas list. thoughts and opinions on this awesome game :thumb:

The game is awsome...cept for the battle mode. What the hell is up with blowing up the baloons with the microphone? cant we just have three and play?

I always thought the N64 Mario Kart was the worst one. Gamecube was a great one though. I plan on getting a DS becuase of this Mario Kart, come Christmas of course.

I remain a Super Nintendo loyalist. The MK for SNES was substantially harder and, at its time, more enjoyable.

I won 25 Nintendo Power stamps for ranking first place on the Mario Circuit time trial challenge. :) Goot times.

I haven't played videogames for 2-3 years though. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms reading this thread.

i think ive gotten about 6. Besides isnt there a mode where you play against people of your own skill level

yes, you can do that but chances are, nearly all your friends will have the game (they're crazy if they dont)

download play only lets you choose from 8 tracks and the opponent doesnt get to choose their kart

My brother got that game on Christmas, I played it a bit and I must say it is pretty fun. Unfortunatley our wireless router is not compatable with the DS..wtf is that about though..it works fine for my PSP and PDA.

I love the Mario Kart series. All the games are the best racing games IMO. I couldn't put down Super Circuit and I can't wait to get Double Dash for GCN. If I had a DS then I would definately pick this game up right away

I've got this, but I'm in the UK so I guess it would lag a load playing with you. Maybe it's a European thing, but I don't get anyone disconnecting when they lose and none of my friends with the game have complained of it. Also it counts as a loss when you disconnect (to the best of my knowledge) so that's really not why your online ratio is bad.
