Well done.

I've been greatly considering getting one used, and getting GTA and Burnout for it. I'm not sure yet though, since it's still pretty expensive for a portable.

I am loyal to Nintendo and have my DS, I would have bought the psp were it not for the price tag and the crappy battery

:O Where did my post go

Crafty Internet
<_<

<_<

So anyway, I have a psp Version 1.50 firmware.

I'm not too fussed about having 2.0, anymore. I would rather have the use of Homebrew software and freedom to use downloaded ISO's with it (at least i didnt lie about where my games come from)The web browser isnt a bit feature for me as I can use my pc for whatever I need. As for the crappy battery life comment by (LOKI) I have never experienced crap battery life, It just lasts as long as any other hand held device. I would definately recommend a psp to anyone looking out for a hand held gaming system, It may seem a bit pricey but none the less its worth it.

Games I own:
Twisted Metal
Burnout Legends
Untold Legends
The game with the guy and the dog
Dynasty Warriors
Death Jr.

I only have 2.0 on mine because I havent yet bought a big enough memory card for homebrew. And I dont have internet at home, just wireless as school. And you should get GTA its fantastic. Of course the shooting is a little akward due to the one analog stick, But it is still a good game. The driving is something you have to get used to because you have to use the analog nub and drivebys are difficult.
And to Kif. If you have the money, buy one. They are expensive but the battery isnt all that terrible, personally I dont play mine for more than 6 hours at a time.
And to (Loki) you can keep your nintendo ds with better battery life and play nintendogs for 9 hours while i play GTA for 6.

I had one, but traded it in due to lack of games. I'll probably re-buy one, because they were a lot of fun..and now there's a decent amount of games for it.

I wouldnt mind getting one for LCS, but it is currantly wayyy to expensive for me to even bother, plus there are too many ps2 GC and DS games I need to waste money on.
I would like to see a toned down PSP that is dedicated to gaming, I really don't care for listening to music or watching movies on it.

agreed, PSP is too big to carry around as an mp3 player and too small to watch movies on IMO.

I don't think the screen is too small for movies personally, if you've seen an MP4 player anyway. It's big enough to watch decent quality. Besides which, I'd use my MP3 player for music.

Paul was selling his I think, I might see if I can talk to him about it.

from what I heard, you could only get 3 hours game play out of it

I don't understand that concept. It's not like an army, it's a console. I get if you like the GBA because of the games, but saying you are loyal sounds completely fanboyish to me.

Considering there have been posts by people with PSPs in this post about the battery life, I suggest you re-evaluate what you're heard

K, the battery life is actually not bad. I dont intend to play mine for more than 6 or 7 hours anyway. The video looks good, but yes, it is a bit pricey. For 80 to 90 dollars on ebay you can buy a gigabyte card, have version 1.5 and download homebrew games.

I had one, but sold it to my friend for $220. I only had Tony hawk and Twisted metal. It got boring pretty fast, but now that Socom and GTA are out, I may buy a used one. Im going to wait for it to go down just a little more.

I have played GTA and it is fantastic, especially for multiplayer. It has like 6 different types of multiplayer gaming. My cousin has SOCOM and he says it is good.

Is it really that good? I was thinking about getting it but wasnt sure. I think Need for Speed Most wanted looks good. I played it on PC and it is the best NFS ever.

i personally hate those arcade style racers...

but yea, its that good. It was so good in fact, that i bought a headset 2 days before i lost the psp.

The sound is amazing. You actually hear where people are in relation to where you are looking. Stealth has a whole new meaning. I didnt know how the controls would be at first with the missing 2nd analog. I couldnt even tell bro

Were the controls odd? how did you aim and move simultaneously?

i like it more then halo 2

Kurrpt
12-07-2005, 01:20 PM
well there are 2 ways to move in that game....

they have NORMAL, in which the analog moves you in that direction. You guy constantly aiming at the middle of the screen. You can strafe by holding the L button, and you can LOCK ON with the R button.

In free look mode (accessed by pressing right on the D-Pad) your analog only moves the head, or where you aim. You can hold the L button, and doing so allows you to move in the direction the analog in pushed, keeping your head at the same angle.

Sounds confusing

I never got to play halo 2, just halo. I thought it was pretty fun, I still really dont like the driving controls though. Did you ever Hulk ultimate destruction? I never did but, the reviews looked fantastic.

Sounds difficult and annoying, did you connet to the internet wirelessly. Because I try that with Twisted Metal and it can only go to people who connect in the same room

twisted metal isnt an internet game, where as SOCOM is for the internet. Ive played online in 3 completely separate locations. Its VERY easy to get it to work. Trust me.

As far as the controls, they are GOOD. They seem weird at first. Ive played numerous online matches consisting of 16 total players, and they are plenty good. Takes a bit to get used to. Maybe 30 minutes. This game is the single reason im getting another psp, consideirng i lost the system and 5 games

THats awesome.Wipeout pure has internet too. That was the game from which they developed the homebrew browser. I never played it but it looked good.
