Has any one seen this movie called Warriors and have they played the game yet i would like to know. My friends talk about the movie they say its great whats your opion?

Movie = Awesome. DVD = $15 at Best Buy, go buy it and watch it right now.

The game is pretty fun, it's a Beat-em-Up. It takes place a few months before the movie and has flashbacks to when the gang first started so it's cooler to watch the movie first.

The game is really awesome. I love running around with a full gang and smashing up the other gangs. I really want to see this movie now.

The movie really is good, and all the different gangs are cool: The Orphans, Rogues, High Hats, Lizzies, Punks, Riffs, and especially The Furies dressed up in their baseball gear, with the leader looking especially menacing; almost like A Clockwork Orange.

Thanks, but a friend brought it over a few days ago and I watched it. It was good, but needed a little more fighting in my opinion. I might rent the game, it looks interesting.

This movie was made in 1979 and filmed in New York. The setting of the movie is New York in 1979. Real Gangs took offence to fake gangs wearing colors on their turf, so the production crew hired a real gang as security, and wouldn't allow anyone to wear the Warriors colors (vests) off the set.

AWESOME movie, seriously you're missing out, go buy it.

Wonder Steve: The opening cinema of the game (before you go into the start menu) is the exact opening of the movie, and when that part happens in the game, the rest of the game is almost precisely what happens in the movie.

Oh it is a great cult movie.
Like something you have to see so you can base or refer to when judging other movies.

Ive seen the movie and i did enjoy it needed more fighting but appaerntly

Here's the deal on the remake.

The ONLY things it has in common with the original:
- Title "The Warriors"
- The main gang is trying to get back home (same BASIC storyline)
- Cyrus tries to unite the gangs, gets killed

Instead of being set in NY, it's set in LA
Instead of cool and funny original gangs, it'll feature real gangs (and not just actors, the real gang members)...Crips, Bloods, Viatnemese, ,etc etc etc.
Cyrus is probably the only person who's nearly the same in both.
Personally I think it'll be crap.
