This is the Colbert Report! Yet another thread about how great this show is. In my opinion, right now it's much more funny then the Daily Show. I haven't found the Daily Show funny at all recently, the best part of it is the last 2 minutes when Jon checks in with Colbert.

The Colbert Report is probably the greatest show i've seen in a very long time.

Tonight's show is hilarious.  His reaction to the bribery scandal thing was so much better then Jon's.

I think the Daily Show is still as funny as it was, it just doesn't seem as funny compared to the Colbert Report.

His rant on the benefits of the Bubonic Plague was maybe the best 2 minutes of airtime this century so far.

Awesome, awesome show.
At this rate it'll definitely be the best show on CC.

Really great show. Almost hard to believe how entertaining and funny it is. I'm glad he got his own show. I've always liked him, but never thought of him as one who could carry an entire show with what he does. But he pulls it off great.
And of course I still like the Daily Show, too. Two different shows, the way I see it. Different styles. Both very good.

Ah, perhaps that's it.
A great Daily Show segment is of course still "Back in Black."

I keep forgetting to watch it still, but I have seen more and more episodes and it rules. The Word is usually my favorite part of the show.

I've watched it a couple of times, and I didn't think it was that great. I still like the Daily Show better, but sometimes that's not even funny.

The Daily Show slightly > Colbert though.
That's a negative! The funniest part of The Daily Show is when he checks in with Colbert.
colbert is hilarious..no question, but I havn't been able to watch his show hardly at all, I've only really seen him on the daily show, but I've seen snippets of his show on Comedy Central from time to time and I wish I had the patience to sit down and watch.
Could someone list the time he's on? time/days, etc. (list in eastern or central time please, or whatever you want, just something specific.)

Monday-Thurs he's on:
11:30pm (when the show first airs)
1:30am
10:30am
2:30pm
8:30pm
Those times are EST and the 11:30 show from the previous night will play in all four time slots. I'm not really sure about if his show reruns on the weekends, but I do know new eps only air Mon-Thurs.

Colbert owns. The Daily Show is funny, but too repetitive.

I like coming home from a shitty day of school, which is everyday now, and laughing at how brilliant that show is. Other than 24 this is one of the very few shows on TV worth watching. One of only three until the X Games are over

thats one of the few reaons i watch the Daily Show anymore. The funniest one was the one last night with Annie Duke, when hes got the water bubbler and pretty much ignores John at the end. And the one where hes discussing the good times hes had with past presidents, while Johnonly sees them during his interviews.

The debate between him and Russ Lieber (actually David Cross, one of the funniest people ever) was hilarious. I knew this show had potential to be a great satire of all the shoutfests on 24-hour news networks, but first they needed a great foil for Colbert. Mission accomplished

I remember last year when Jon was out sick or something, and Colbert took over as host. I recall thinking to myself that night "this guy needs his own show." He wasn't better than Jon, but different, and in a way enough that he really deserved it.
And that's the word.

Such a ridiculously funny show.
Since I've been off school, I've taken to watching The Daily Show then The Colbert Report right after. I think Steven Colbert is absolutely hilarious, he did this really funny thing the other day comparing how the grizzly bear population of North America (in year 1850) has significantly decreased since he's been on the air.
Hehehe. Discuss.

The episode where he interviewed Eleanor Holmes Norton from Washington DC made me laugh like hell. He ripped on her so bad. I'm surprised she didn't hit him.

Yea, those are definitely the funniest. I love how they close it on usually a really awkward note, then it just cuts to him with a big grin swinging his hand around for a shake "Thanks for taking the time to talk to us congressman."
