I just found a recording of me drumming and playing bass over it floating around on my compuetr and i figured i'd share it with you guys. It's simply titled "jamming with myself." Take a listen and let me know what you think. Praise me, tell me i suck, anything goes, as long as it's constructive somehow. what's up with the big echo and effect sound...(first part ok, but the effect makes the second slapping part sound really weird...)

Don't know wether it is your bass, amp, playing style, effect, or mixig, but it sounds very muddy.
Longer sustain + higher mid for the first part, and more punch for the slap.

what song? the first one? That was just a delay effect and that's the sound i was going for. WIth the drumming, i don't have the best equipment, just a mic and a tape recorder.
