In a nutshell, what note is A0?

In an ad for a tuner, it mentioned being able to detect any note from A0 to
C8, or something along those lines. I never knew of this notation before, and knowing the notes would help with a little project I'm working on.

All i need is the pitch of one note, A0, and I'll be fine from there. So is A0 the open A on a bass? and octave below? something else?

Help please.

yes.

if you drop-tuned the B string on a 5er, youd have A0.

and im very surprised to be asked for by name.

those are the frequencies in Hz of each note.

the commas are like decimal points. Europeans have a funny way of doing things, thats all.

 yea, both you and edge tend to be the first to give me good advice when it comes to gear and the more techincal stuff, so you two are the first I look too.

thanks for the help.
