i've been playing on my set for 2 years and a bit more and i've decided to finally buy new heads cause i realized how crappy the ones that came with the set sound. so im thinking of buying the ambassador pro pack from musicians friend. ive played on some before and they sounded really great, but some people have said they dent easily and/or dont last long. is this true, and are there other kinds of heads that are better? i play 2 hours everday and pretty hard, also my moneys pretty tight, 60 dollars is the limit.

Well they are one ply heads so they are gonna be less durable than 2 ply heads but it also depends on your technique etc. Also when buying heads its not about whats better, than are all high quality so you buy them on how you want your heads to sound.

Get pinstripes. If you tune them up good, then they sound great. They sound beautiful tuned high.

^^^^^

Dont listen to this man. Go with a coated two ply head and tune it low if you want that sound.
