I'm currently working on my Tama Rockstars. I have basically all the drums now, I just need a rack and a lot of cymbals. When it's done, it should look something like this:
http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3055/picture15qt.png
And once I make it that far, my plans as of now are to start working on another kit. :D This time, a simpler set up with high class drums and cymbals. Possibly Spaun, Pearl Refference, or Sonor Delete. But by the time I get that far, I'll have probably changed my mind 20 times. :D

I hope your lying, cause that is an amazing looking set. I Love the cran Berry Finish, and like I said I ahve two ppl to choose from who will do it professionally for free, so that realyl makes choosing drums alot easier, I dont have to give a dam about how the finish looks haha

true but i cant fix it now..to my knowledge you can't save setups on DW kit builder:confused:

No you cant save them ,but ya, I wouldnt go with any of the graphics on the kitbuilder, I dont like any of them, I like alot of there laquers and satins though. it would be sweet if you could have more than DW hardware to choose from, and an actual cymbal selection not just the sizes, anyone agree with me on that?

They have about the same number of pedals, but Terry has wayyyy more drums than Grant, though Terry does use them to play melodies and stuff on while Grant doesn't have them tuned to a key or whatnot.
Those are some big drums seafroggys, my teacher would be proud of the 14" rack tom, he hates the fusion fad.

Well the kit I'll have in a few months is... pretty much my dream kit. It's functional, to the point, and well-rounded.
DW Maple Collector's Series, Royal Blue Lacquer Custom. 6"x14" 10+6 snare, 8"x10", 9"x12", 11"x14", 13"x16" toms, 18"x22" bass.
14" A Mastersound hats, 18" A Medium Thin crash, 10" A splash, 18" A Medium crash, 22" A Ping ride, 18" A china High.
DW 9000 series hardware, and either 9002/5002 double pedal, and matching hat stand.
After that... I'll be adding a bronze snare, maybe an 8" tom, and some more cymbals. My current cymbal plans is roughly 15 As.

Looks excessive. You don't need 5 million drums to be able to play "everything", nor do you need more than a few cymbals.
Personally, if I were playing metal, I'd go for double kicks, 8", 10", 14", 16" toms, a bronze snare, a heavy 22" ride, 2 18" or 19" medium crashes, a nice pair of hats, and a big and small china.
Punk? Single kick, a brass or steel snare, 12" and 14" toms, hats, a versatile ride, a small crash and a big crash.
Personally, I think you shouldn't have more than you need. If you *do* have more than you need, make sure it all gets used. I have a hard time believing some people wouldn't get lost sitting behind some of these kits .
