Can anyone link me to a free program that will allow me to open .rar
files? I don't want to hassel with the trial version of winrar and I know that there exists programs that are free. I've had one before but I can't seem to find it now. Any suggestions? Also, how do you put in the 'no cd' cracks into the programs? Is it auto? I don't know because i havnt opened them yet.

Winrar says its a trial, but really you can use it as many times and for as long as you want and it will still work. I think you need the full version if you want to convert files to .rar, but it's free to unzip them.

Exactly. I've had it for ages and you can extract files indefinately.

I dunno exactly what you mean by that. If you mean playing a game without the original disc, you can use Daemon Tools. It basically acts like a cd drive, and if you have an image file or something representing the disc, you mount that onto Daemon tools and can play it.

just follow the instructions that come with them. they are either a program you run to patch the game .exe or an .exe that you copy over the original
