Everyones seen my snare (and if you hadnt, you have now)
So i decided to do a little research on it as i cant find photos of one like it anywhere and heres what i found.
The snare is a pro-level snare built around the same time as my ludwig shells, so this means its around 20-25 years old (1980-85ish) and judging by the throwoff it may well be an orchestral snare which explains the weight.
Thought i'd share my findings with you all

Blimey. Its like two snares on top of each other.
How did you aquire it? I have a similarly old yet professional snare that I bought from my friend who quit drumming, for £5. Best deal I ever had, 'twas a nice Premier.

Only when im up in the loft. Never use muffling (except a lil in the bass) in the rehearsal room or live

that thing is soooo killer :thumb:
is it just the pics or is it looking a little pitted?
id suggest taking it apart and cleaning it up real nice with never-dull or a really good chrome polish before it gets any worse.
