I've always listened to music with lyrics that make me feel good based on what they mean and what mood I'm in. Im all loved up at the minute so any chance of anyone recommending me some good pop-punk songs with love-ish lyrics? :thumb:

The closest one I can think of to be a love song is Demons Away - Matt Skiba (Well it could be by Alk3 but i've got it as Matt Skiba).

Green Day, On The Wagon (Shenanigans) - Feel good love song

Pennywise, Stand By Me - Cover of this classic song, best version I've heard was by Pennywise, though I'm sure everyone's covered it

Blink 182, All The Small Things (Enema Of The State) - I can never work out if this is +ve love, but its happy

Reel Big Fish, Alternative Baby (Turn The Radio Off) - More of a song about someone who is after someone else rather than actually with them and in love, but good fun :)

Skankin' Pickle, Special Brew (Green Album) - More 3rd wave ska than traditional punk, but then I love ska ;)

There are actually hundreds of really good ska love songs... Depends if you like the genre or not.

Completely off genre, I used to listen to a band called "The Beautiful South" when I was in the kinda mood you're talking about... Thats quite a confession to make in a p.punk forum ^^ but they're an old favourite of mine. Squeeze are another off-genre band with some good love songs.

Defo Something Corporate. Also Blink have written a few cheesy love songs, and bands like Jimmy Eat World and The Get Up Kids have done a few nice ones too.

However, my top pick would be the Starting Line. Check out something like Best Of Me... lovely.

I do think all of the bands I've just mentioned are better at the whole rejection/unrequited love/breakup stuff.

Haha, you legend!

Have you heard the ending of that song, with Howard Stern I think, and he basically just says NOFX are the worst band ever.
