Specifications:
Yamaha Stage Custom Standard. Natural Matte Finish.
8" 10" 12" 14" 22" 14" snare.
Gear:
Two Yammie stands. One Tama. Sonor arm, two clamps, one's not being used. Using a snare stand to hold the 10" tom because I can place it more easily over the bass drum and I don't need a cymbal stand to hold it off.
Gibraltar Avenger double pedal
I have clear emperors on the heads and stock 1 ply resos. I would like to replace them all again with clear ambs over ambs but that costs money and they sound fine the way they are at the moment.
Coated ambassador on the snare, sweetness, starting to flake though and needs replacement. Guess what I'm going to replace it with? That's right, another freakin' amb. Sweetness.
Cymbals:
13" zzrockshoppro hi hats. *cough*
16" and 18" UFiP Rough Series Crashes.
18" Wuhan China.
10" Wuhan Splash.(Not pictured.)
20" Zildjian A Ride from the 70's-ish.

You couldn't say much about it even if it was real. Stupid Gibson and their stupid inconsistant construction.

dont blame gibson ... blame the people dumb enough to buy a guitar without playing it first
I plan on doing that. :D
but I'd never buy a guitar over $700 max doing it that way and I'd research it heaps before hand.
Sometimes ebay have really nice deals that I wouldn't pass up on, and if it's really cheap you can always put new pickups in it, new tuners, and with a nice set up and you can have a great backup guitar.
But I need a new good main guitar which I'll be playing before buying.

I read "To Kill A Mockingbird" at school this year.
Isn't the China a bit too far from you??
RichHunt
11-26-2005, 03:24 AM
Trainee_Guitarist: Nah it's not too far. I could have it maybe an inch or two closer but I don't want to bend my arm heaps when I hit my cymbals. It's like, it seems like a good idea in theory to have it really close in but when you put it into practice you realise the flaws.
Also I'm not reading To Kill a Mockingbird yet, but intend to start. Mum's urging me to read it.
Finch88: The Musicmans? Yeah, they're hella expensive here! I'm thinking of grabbing a nice sunburnt telecaster. This guy on ebay sells "Dillion" guitars which look pretty nice and I'm going to see if I can try them out as they're pretty cheap. I'm also going to look into schectors, Cole Clarks (the mistress is possibly one of the best guitars I've ever played), Maton and some other guitars.
That's down the track though, I think I need a new amp first because I believe mine's starting to have some issues, it's either that or the pedal I'm using but I'm having trouble telling which it is. I need to borrow an amp so I can tell.

That all looks pretty damn hot. Man I need a fridge, no more going to the kitchen when you need food. I like that Maton acoustic guitar too. The electric looks nice, I don't like the feel of les pauls that much though, it seems like they take a while to get used to.

That's a stage custom advantage, same as mine but with a wooden snare and glossy finish (but I prefer my matte finish).
They'd be up there with the 2005s and superstars, some might disagree because it's a wood combo and not full out wood, but the Pearl References are wood combos too and they fookin' rock. haha.

You can't really see it in but it's mounted off a clamp on the cymbal stand that's holding both crashes.

Well it's kinda noisy and not very good at cooling things, but if you really are interested search for Waeco on google. Fridgemaster, as well, if you can't find anything.

 Drinks a lot of soda, so needs a mini fridge? My housemate and I each have a mini fridge, but they are more or less just for alcohol, and alcoholic mix... so certain types of soda are allowed :p. Otherwise we have a big fridge full of food... and if you're hungry... it's not that hard to walk to the kitchen :p.
