New Wuhan. Pic. Alert the media!

So, my dad and I were out buying potatos and beer, and we decided to stop in guitarcenter. I was hoping they'd have sambago bells under 20 bucks, but no luck. As I was leaving the drum room, I noticed a tub full of wuhan chinas. 12 and 16 inch. I've always wanted one. I've got a nice jazz kit. No effect cymbals. I'm oblivious to the world of splashes and chinas. So I get it. 12 bucks for a cymbal is't bad. And also, 4/5 of the people here love Wuhan (Jim totally made me get it. What with the tons of wuhans he has and all.)

So, I get it. I'm in the car examining it, and I consider just taking it back. It looks horrible. There are so many crappy spots on it, little uneven spots, and there are marks around the little knob thing at the top where a machine sort of pressed it. But I decide to keep the thing, and geive it a try. I was in a hurry, so I didn't try it out at GC.

The thing rocks. It rocks hard. It is so trashy and raw. I love it.

I paid $80 AUD (so like.. $55 USD) for a second hand 18" China.

We're so ripped off over in comparison.

that thing sounds really good for those random snare hits that you want exxagurated(sp?)

sounds weird for riding though, the decay is much too quick... dude... hit it hard and then choke it like a second after... loudest china sound ever man, can get annoying.

How the hell are you supposed to mount these things? No matter what I do, no matter what I use, it always droops and the inside rests against the wingnut or the cymbal stand... I tried using a regular nut, still didn't work.. you seem to just put it on normally and it works fine though?
