I'm in love with Zildjian's A Custom ping ride, but it is darn pricey. Is there a Sabian ride which sounds close to the same, can do the same things, or at least just is a good all around cymbal, but which costs less? Cuz Sabian usually costs less. Thanks in advance.
Not sure what area you live in but around here the difference in price is only $10-15. On a purchase of that size, I'd say spend the slight extra to get what you really want.

Here's a novel idea: Get the Zildjian.

Yea, it would be the AA rock ride as mentioned earlier. But unless you live in Canada, there isnt a big price difference.

Dude... prices in Canada are identical, unless the place marks up Zildjian massively, and I've never seen a Canadian shop that *doesn't* have identically priced Sabians and Zildjians.
The Sabian Rock ride is the equivalent of the Zildjian Rock ride, imagine that. Sabian doesn't really have an equivalent to the Ping ride, especially not the A Custom one, so just get the Zildjian. $10 isn't really a big deal...

^At long and McQuade the Zildjians are usually priced higher, not by much though^

^At long and McQuade the Zildjians are usually priced higher, not by much though^At Long & Mcquade they are priced identically. $125.00 for a 16", $150.00 for an 18", etc. as far as A/AA/A Custom/AAX go. I guess not all Long & Mcquade are priced equally.
