I just played my first gig tonite at a school talent show, we played second after a screamo band and things went really well. We're more just hard rock but people really seemed to enjoy it (judging from the applause).
Anyways I don't have pics but its on film and I will try to get pics from the video as soon as tommorow.
A lot of people were impressed because we've only been playing together two months. Also we only played originals which I will post on a soundclick tommorow.
We ran into one problem when the lead's wah pedal cut out completely. It was very well timed cuz it coulda made it seem like the song was over, but it kinda ****ed the rest of us up. Still managed to end it properly after the pedal came back on.

That's always good to hear things go well. Now this is a start to an addiction that is stronger than cocaine, nicotine, and caffine combined....the need to play shows.

what's worse is needing to and not being able to because it's hard to break into a crappy scene in a crappy music town.

for truth homie
my band had been playing in my town for years and still we couldn't get anyone on the "scene" to give us a gig
eventually this awsome guy gave us a chance and we've been solidly gigging for a while

Here in montreal the music scene is HUGE, theres venues everywhere so playing gigs regularily won't be hard.

Awesome. It's great isn't it? We played our first show at a school Halloween Rock Nite. Was so great to hear them cheering. We only had 15 minutes so 3 songs, but it was still awesome. My 4th string broke on the last note of the last song. I call that pure luck.

Murphy's Law: Something will always bust at your first gig, like our guitarist's amp, and yours' pedal.

They should be up by now, 3 songs for now and tommorow the new one will be up too. Keep in mind that these were done by sticking a mic in the middle of our practice room.
