Fender Jazz - Hawt Finish

Hi MX Bass forumizzle

Is there anywhere I can get a Fender Jazz, with a natural or buttercup blonde finish or similar, with inlays? I mean the rectangular style inlays like on Les Pauls.

I think a Natural with Black Pickguard and inlays would look damn sexy - it does infact!

Hmmm, I can't stand rectangular inlays in necks, I think they spoil them. I much prefer necks without inlays at all.. :D lol, I love them. As for the wood finish, I don't really like the look of that wood, It looks a bit too bland, try going for something like 'figured koa', 'Goncalo Alves'. Although I'm not sure if Fender use those types of wood. But.. YEAH! :D :D :D on the Jazz Bass. lol

It's not exactly the same but the 1975 American Reissue Jazz is very similar.

I guess it's just Fenders that I don't like. Don't you think they look huge? And the have, like, super huge machine heads.

I don't really like the looks of Fender Precisions, but I love Jazz's. Especially, when they have those pickup covers. Each to their own I guess.
I can't really see what you mean about the machine heads though, they look normal size to me. Eye of the beholder and all that, I suppose.

You can get a CIJ Jazz like that on ishibashi, only with a white pickguard

Fender Japan makes tons of Jazz models with block inlays.

Nah, the Marcus Miller sig's pickgaurd looks like a half Rickenbacker, half Jazz bass.

If you want something close to the one in the pic, the Fender Custom Classic is the closest you're gonna get. Just different finish & pickguard.
