My Squire P-Bass ...

The entire set up, P-Bass pre-destruction.

Snapped it off. Rather carefully screwed out screws & carefully pulled it out.

some of those frets seem to be filled unevenly and there doesn't seem to be any kind of finish on the neck.

Yeh I'm gonna redo more once I get new strings. I just really really could not wait.

What did you use to get the frets out? A soldering iron I used on my Squier didn't work too well... Maybe it needs to be hotter.

What!! No way! Girls don't play bass guitar, they stick to their Daisy Rock guitars and their Pianos and Violins.

Just kidding around.

I doubt that Squier glues it's frets in, so the soldering iron probably isn't neccesary.

Try using a thin putty knife?

Bass needs some Wood filler and a coat of something over the neck to protect it.

If you are a girl, the finger nails are cool.

If you are a guy, get the nail polish remover.

She's a girl. I would have assumed that the femenine hands, talks of her kitty, and username including the word "brat," would have given that away...

Holy crap I leave to go to sleep & there's like 10 questions.

I'm a girl.

It's a Schecter Stiletto Elite-4.

I love my baby cat.

It's still somewhat a work in progress. I just really did not wanna wait to play a fretless. I even put the old strings back on instead of running out to get new ones. & I'm gonna finish it, I'm just gonna wait until I feel I'll be able to go 1-2 days without a fretless so it can dry.

So basically, it's not done.

& yes contrast+++ I like doing that to my pictures.

Oh & I used a chisel & hammer. A soldering iron's not gonna do much but warp your frets. Squire doesn't glue their frets on, the only brands that do that are those horrible ones on eBay or at Wal-Mart.

If you look on the side of the neck, you can see the frets going into the wood. They need to be dug out.

I defretted my old bass. I used linseed oil on the neck I think, I recommend it, its easy to apply. I'd deffo stick some more woodfiller in there first though.
