First off this DVD is awsome really great work. Couple things I noticed going through it though. I know its kinda common sense but you can tell that age is starting to kick in for them. The songs are still good, Geddys voice is a bit off though; but even compared to the Rush in Rio DVD there doesent seem to be as much energy. Thats probably mostly because of the crowd, Rio was nuts. I did notice Pearts solo was alot shorter. Much props though, the songs were still basicaly flawless live, in some cases I like live versions of songs better than in the studio.
So how do you guys feel that age will affect you in the future? Big factor or just makes you find new ways to be more efficient?
Oh and one really cool part about the DVD is you get 2 guitar pics with Alex and Geddy's signature on each. Plus a sweet sticker and 2 CD's of all the songs aswell. Worth the 30 bucks I say.:thumb:

Haha yeah man. Song selections is lots of older stuff so if you already have Rio theres a good switch. Plus theres a bunch of interviews, even some older performances. I didnt know this was out yet either, but I was walking by the stands in future shop I seen it and instantly picked it up. No questions in my mind if i was buying it or not hahaha. Made my day.

actually they were big before you were born. before I was born.
as for the DVD, i bought it when it came out and i loved it. Watching it in High-Def really brings the concert experience home. I'll agree that age is starting to show with Geddy's voice, but the musicianship is right were it has been and where it'll stay. Neils Solo was just as long as the Rio solo, just rearranged. The archive stuff, i.e. the old interviews and performances were a nice surprise but some of them had, understandably, CRAPPY video quality. all in all, a great, kick-*** package.

How good is Mystic Rhythms? :amaze: And I also liked the second acoustic song after resist (something to do with a heart).
The sound quality is a lot better, though I thought his toms sounded pretty awful, espacially after the tone he had in Rio. Should'a stuck with the coateds, Neil.
