Honestly haven't heard any of them except 'Bloodletting', although I really like At the Gates. Are they still in the same vein, and are there any more recommended DLs?

The're not really in the same vein, not as death, but they're still pretty brutal. It sounds a bit cleaner than the At The Gates recordings do, but not so much that it loses its "soul".
Dont know what you mean by DLs but check out any songs of the self titled album, especially "Three Times" and "In Vein" which are my favourites of that album. There was a thread about these guys a month or so ago, but it disappeared. Anyone going to see them tomorrow night at Birmingham Academy? Been looking forward to this for ages, and got my ticket today.

I will have to check them out. Someone made a thread on them awhile ago, calling them his favorite thrash band.

This one is better though.

Ah didnt realise that it had been done. Apologise. I want to keep this one going!

They haven't played up my way in a while. Which sucks. I saw them and they were supporting Funeral For A Friend

No, its fine. This thread is alot better anyway, the other thread was just a huge argument between me and the threadstarter. I think he got banned again.

One Kill Wonder is "the newer stuff".

Anyway, I don't like them much. A couple (literally) of songs on their older albums are fun, but that's about it.

Hehe, yeah thats fair enough, just hard to know when something becomes "old"

Fair point
But i was meaning in that rEVOLVEr as the newer stuff

Bartender

Well I'm being really selfish in my definition of it here. "Old" for the Haunted is the stuff they released before I knew about them, "new" anything released after.

Luckily it just so happens to make a kind of sense given the number of albums they have and such.

I've not heard Revolver, anyway. Is it bad?

Just because an album is new, please don't dismiss it as "bad" like so many members here :thumb:

rEVOLVEr has 2 single guitar tracks, panned left and right, sheer simplicity at its best with shiny crispy production, oh yeah and all the thrashing of guitars you can imagine, its a great listen

No Compromise, 99, Fire Alive, Sweet Relief

^ Some key tracks ^

I didn't? I'm calling the first three bad because I've listened to them and didn't like them (bar a couple of tracks, as I say), and I haven't heard Revolver.

Bartender the Elitist mod :p
Disregarding, the ":p", what has he done that is even close to "elitism"?

I don't like The Haunted, and I like them even less when people call them thrash.

'twas sarcasm, Bartender is the exact opposite. I've never seen him once give out an unfair opinion...

For those who have seen them recently, what songs should I be expecting tomorrow?

Alright, just checking. The term gets thrown around way too much.

From the last gig I went to they played things of every album. They didnt play "Three Times" which annoyed me, but nevermind. Erm, they played God Puppet, Hollow Ground, 99, No Compromise, In Vein, Chokehold, Hate Song, Dark Intentions, D.O.A, Bloodletting, and more that I cant remember.
Tomorrow night will rule.
So they're not thrash, what do people class them as then? Im not saying I class them as thrash, Im just curious.

They have thrash influences, it's pretty obvious. Especially with their days in At The Gates. I pray they play Bloodletting! :D

I pray they do Three Times this time! Yeah, but they're not really thrash are they? I don't particularly care to be honest, I think they're great anyways.
At The Gates were awesome. We discussed this before!Lol
