The local shop near my house is going out of business, and so they put everything on sale. There were some cool deals... a decent condition ibanez ergodyne 5er for 299... some neat pedal sales... nothing fancy...
and then I saw this lovely worn down bass. I look a bit closer and the headstock reminded me of peavey, and as I get closer, I see I'm right.
It was a 1989 peavey foundation... with the old super ferrite pickups in it... maple fretboard... decent condition... with original molded hsc...
for $199.
And I don't have any ****ing money, and my other guitars are up at school. If I had my guitars here, I'd go trade in my epiphone guitar and throw some cash at him in a heartbeat. It sounded good, looked good, and even played surprisingly well, considering how high the action was.
I'm so pissed.

If it's a going out of business sale, they probably won't put things on hold. They're trying to get rid of things quickly.
Borrowing money is out of the question?

I'm sort of trying, but I hate doing that. Plus, I dunno anyone who would loan me the money.

Oooo... i may have a solution... my friend is offering to see if the fella will accept his fender jazz as a trade, and if he does, he'll trade in the fender for the foundation, and then trade me the foundation for my epiphone sg, a tuner, and 25 bucks.

Offer him less. It's a going out of business sale, and I'm sure he'll take what he can get.

Just out of curiosity, MiM, American or Japan made jazz? Other than that, that sounds like more than a fair deal.

I hope so for you.. But when he doesn't; friends can pay it before you and you can pay them back afterwards. That's not borrowing money from them if they are good friends :thumb:
I do hate it to loan money too, but sometimes.. ;)

MIM.
And kilian, I'm sort of considering it...
borrow money from a friend if you can. hopefully your paycheck will be over 200, so you can pay it back immediatly. definitly not a big deal.
