I recently got Halo. There is a problem though, whenever I try to start it up, it runs for about 5 seconds than quits. Any help would be appreciated.

Return it and get a good PC game.

Return it. Does the little thing just quit, or does it start going backwards? I've seen that happen before. Just exchange it.

its just quits out

its going to be hard to return because I got it as a gift, so i have no idea where it came from

Is it just that game? That started happening to me, but with all games. If the little green circle turns red, you are screwed, and you need a new xbox, which is now pointless. Thats basically what it means.

If its just the game, return it...duh.

Whoever gave it to you as a present probably knew it was defective. Take it to Costco and try to exchange it without a receipt.
