Different mics

What are the main 2, well I think it is the main to mics. Because I was at a college opening evening and he said do you anything like roughly about mics and equipment (because im aiming towards music tech). I said yes because I do roughly.

He said "do you what the difference is between (these 2 mics where which I cant remeber)". Does anyone know what these mics are? because I can't remeber and if you do what are the difference?

what?? how are we supposed to know??? theres like condensor and dynamic and tube. but we have to see them to know.

condensor and dynamic!!!! those are the 2! Now what are the differences???

**** i took the damn sound reinforcment classes but i dont remember. i know it has to do with whats in the diaphragm, i think it uses like a thin film and thats what it uses to pik up the vibrations and then dynamic is able to take higher spls because it uses like a coil or seomthing.

im like barely know what im talking about i dont remember much.

lol oooo I kinda get ya but I havn't taken the course yet so I was just woundering it made me wounder for some reason!

they also have different uses because of this, they are better for recording certain instruments than other mics.
